Mini Sword Art Online II Episodes 13-14.5: Pointless Recaps

The Phantom Bullet (hah) is finally over.

So they wrap up the arc in an emotional way but then decide to spend the whole of episode 14 just recapping what happened. So delaying the episode recap from me basically becomes moot. So we might as well just talk about the 13th episode.

Let’s not waste anytime, let’s move on to shows I actually want to watch after this.

Expect a number of posts today since I really need to catch up.

Sword Art Online II Episode 13- Delicious

Oh boy this was actually entertaining to watch. And it wasn’t because it was actually good.

So it’s official, the opening fight was probably the best piece of action we got. I’m going to save my complaints til the end since I have a bad habit of just telling you what I feel at start of this stuff. That’s right, actual reviews! Who would of thought?

Sword Art Online II Episode 11- Not Dessu Gan, Dessu GanS

The title from last week amplified. With all this explanation and dread about Death Gun, they better make that fight worth it.

The opening shows so much action yet but we barely get any for the past 2 weeks. I know that development is good but damn, maybe I somewhat enjoyed this when all this series was about was simple fighting.

Either way, no surprises on my end because I was spoiled a while back.

Mini-Sword Art Online II Episode 10- The Final Fight better be worth it

I keep ending up renaming SAO II posts into the Mini category because of the talking instead of the action going on. Now while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it involves a character that’s getting himself better writing as the series goes along and a character who I objectively like but subjectively hate because I don’t like Miyuki Sawashiro’s voice being part of a harem.

That aside, these extended dialogues that are meant to have somewhat deeper meanings/feelings aren’t making too big of an impact on me and end up being a lot shorter than I would want them to be.

Oh well, like the title suggests, I really hope the last fight is something around the lines of the opening.

Sword Art Online II Episode 9- I could have sworn I heard Naruto play

That fade to black at the end.

How naive of anyone to think ANYONE that is related to Kirito that isn’t Sachi is doing to die by any means of the imagination. I can pretty much predict that it’s Kirito who shot Death Gun or some shit and we’ll see exactly how this turns out next week.

My god does the production company love showing off Sinon’s ass. Did we really need Miyuki Sawashiro voice her?

Mini-Sword Art Online II Episode 8- Ballet or Bullet?

The Bullet of Bullets begins.

Honestly I thought it as Ballet of Bullets because that sounds a lot better and fitting but apparently the subs and the characters refer the event as the former. Oh well. Other than Kirito having more trap moments, the episode featured light action while the fun stuff happened in the last 3 minutes.

I was spoiled of the GGO arc around 2 weeks ago and I have to say that while it isn’t as stupid as the later half of SAO and the entirety of ALO, it’s still pretty silly.

Mini again because dialogue and understandable (yet repetitive) exposition really take away from me writing stuff.

Mini Sword Art Online II Episode 7- Kirito the Harem Meister

In a single episode do we see two new girls join the cult of Kirito worship while two existing members fawn over him.

Other than more retroactive development for Kirito, we get nothing else.

Oh what you thought that the other dude trying to make a move on Sinon counted? Pfffft, this is SAO, as if any female with a working brain would actually want someone else.

Extremely short review incoming, hell you know what? I’ll change the title.
