Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 18: Finally

Things are finally exciting.

Took a while for the exciting stuff to finally start and now is the time for when the despair meter reaches the end of its gauge as Quetz’s attack, while massive, doesn’t do enough to stop Tiamat’s advance. I recall describing Babylon pulling off that end of the world feeling really well. The lahmus weren’t enough but now we’re going to see a ton of noble phantasms aren’t going to be enough either.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 7-8: Snakes with frickin laser beams

I decided to bundle two episodes again since Episode 8 was just Ushi getting a ton of money thrown at her animations to be really cool.

But man, Leonidas gets my win. Apparently they made his Noble Phantasm look like that starting from FGO Arcade but seeing it animated was a sight to see since he died unceremoniously in the game. You can make a point about how dying so easily adds to Gorgon’s power but Leonidas definitely came out a champion in the anime.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 5&6: Kick and Run

Back on track of things.

Had a bunch of extra work but here we are again. Episode 6 was the end of the common errands episode now that Episode 7 kicks us off into finding more items for Gil and eventually confront the goddess alliance. With Blonde Rin, who somehow isn’t Extra Rin, around, we’ll be on our way to move towards the ever-exciting middle point of the singularity.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 4: Reflection

I have to say that Jaguar Man really did break the pace of the visuals.

Yet in that same breadth I’m acknowledging a tiny girl running around in a leotard and a body-jacked Rin flying around in her panties. I guess the point is that in gacha, unless it’s cute or sexy, don’t bother. Wouldn’t you know it, Jaguar Man’s final ascension falls in the latter category, at least I think that’s what most would place it at. Anyways, we don’t deal with much in this episode but we do some important looking back though.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 3: Daily Life in Uruk

You know, I almost forgot that Leonidas is voiced by Shinichiro Miki.

A bit interesting seeing how both Azur Lane and FGO started off in the same way with some action to get us settled and then calm things over, but I guess it’s a basic enough formula to follow through with how to open up shows. Definitely a lot less fanservice shots, which is a good thing because I didn’t want to spend combing through frames.
