The 13 episode ride on an enormous bug packed with corpses is finally over.
Every season, I have my formulaic line up of series. There’s the one show I’m generally excited for, the mandatory fanservice show, and the one generic action show. This season I got my mandatory Jojo which will continue on for the next few seasons. Hitsugi no Chaika and Ping Pong carved it’s way into my heart as a fondly remembered series with the former getting a second season in the Fall. Date A Live was the fanservice show of the season which already got its biased yet objective review from me. So all in all, it was a pretty damn good season.
But then there’s the odd one out. The ugly duckling colored black while its siblings are comically muscular, ugly but full of heart, questionably acceptable, and one with huge eyebrows.
I’m sorry if you don’t get my joke but whatever, let’s talk about Black Bullet.

I was able to pick up a copy of MGRR last Friday and I finished it on Saturday afternoon. Other than being enslaved to the musical onslaught of Maniac Agenda for the past few days, the events in the game more or less, unknowingly, prepared me for this episode. Kidnapping around a hundred kids, harvesting and selling their organs while putting their brains through virtual reality slaughtering contests is, in my mind, a bit more gruesome than a handful of kids getting killed by a bomb.
That may not ring with too many of you but a game about chopping people into little pieces really “steeled” me up for some atrocities. Thanks Senator Armstrong.
Anyways, I hope you didn’t get too attached to the loli’s in Rentaro and Kisara’s school.
Oh, and who guess who’s back.

You thought things would cool down? Think again, this Black Bullet. Where the bullets are obviously black, the loli’s are strong as shit, and the edge is sharper than the WWE star.
I hear the series only gets worse in terms of how Rentaro ends up in his circumstances. Plus I’m hearing a lot of stuff about Tina too. I won’t spoil anything because people seem to really love Tina here. I’ll just say that I’m glad I like Kisara more than anyone else in this series.
Anyway let’s stop trying to foreshadow bad things. This is going to be short as I’m not good at describing a little girl who pours out her heart in one episode. Much less two episodes of only slow pacing, which is good in some cases.
Knowing how this series works, it would be good to not get too attached to any characters.

Huh, look at that. A happy ending to an arc when just a few episodes ago Rentaro mercy killed a little girl. I just knew that bespectacled son of a bitch would do something evil, they always do. I was going to post this thing early in the morning but then I got dragged to a parad for Memorial Day. See? I have an excuse
Either way, we got singular episode reviews coming so stay tuned. So for now, Black Bullets Episode 6-7 with more loli abuse

So after killing a guy a with a clown mask and revealing us that Rentaro is basically The Winter Soldier, we move on to a new story arc. Oh yeah I forgot to mention we had railguns and Rentaro was edgy enough to use his artifical arm as a bullet. Anyway, new arc time after all that crazy rushed scenes in the last 10 minutes. Just where will this series take us now? I’m hearing loads of people saying that the series only gets darker from here. The only problem with covering more ground is that it might lose quality if it is rushed.
Well if anything is sure, there’s definitely a lot more girls pushing themselves into the story now.
