Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 18: Finally

Things are finally exciting.

Took a while for the exciting stuff to finally start and now is the time for when the despair meter reaches the end of its gauge as Quetz’s attack, while massive, doesn’t do enough to stop Tiamat’s advance. I recall describing Babylon pulling off that end of the world feeling really well. The lahmus weren’t enough but now we’re going to see a ton of noble phantasms aren’t going to be enough either.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 16&17: Mother of Life, Sea of CG

These breaks aren’t really helping the pacing.

Seeing as how I’m writing up Episode 16 a day away from Episode 17, time to bundle up since not much is really happening. I’ll stress again how Lahmus definitely felt more otherworldly and threatening in-game for the aforementioned reasons because type advantages made them pretty beefy and they removed buffs, what assholes.

Ushi’s fight as well felt at least a bit more alarming because they fired off Hassou Tobi every single turn but at least I feel like they got the set-up for the finale down right.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 15: Big Smiles

I should have expected this.

So after hyping up the shit that’s about to go wrong, for more or less the entire time talking about Babylon I had the thought in the back of my head about how a mass of enemies would turn out looking like. All the ugallus and mushus should have clued me in but it is what it is.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 12: Back from the dead

Back to your weekly scheduled doses of groin and butt shots.

Joking aside, the new opening is a lot more visually stimulating with its stylistic rendition and the ending decided to acknowledge Tomoe and Ibaraki being summoned to the singularity despite dying off-screen and being part of something else afterwards. The opening also chock full of some choice imagery which depicts the real stuff I’m waiting to see for Babylon

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 11: They cut it out

Episode 12 means the end of the traditional season for anime and for series like Babylonia that’s going to go for around 23 if I remember correctly, which means that we’ll be getting a recap episode for TWO weeks instead of the usual one so this will be the last episode of the year.

It entertains me to think that the anime is getting closer to Ereshkigal while she’s going to get released in NA servers in a few hours of the time of this post’s creation.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 9-10: Eroge Lineage

Delays kept getting to me but this should be the last of it for a bit.

A threat like Gorgon needs more firepower than just some girl with a shield, a loli with a scythe, and a mage who can’t be knocked unconscious no matter what. So clearly what we needed was a girl flying around in her panties and a lady in a onesie.

No wait, I promise things actually get serious soon.

Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 4: Reflection

I have to say that Jaguar Man really did break the pace of the visuals.

Yet in that same breadth I’m acknowledging a tiny girl running around in a leotard and a body-jacked Rin flying around in her panties. I guess the point is that in gacha, unless it’s cute or sexy, don’t bother. Wouldn’t you know it, Jaguar Man’s final ascension falls in the latter category, at least I think that’s what most would place it at. Anyways, we don’t deal with much in this episode but we do some important looking back though.
