Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 28: Superstition

Ever wonder why the Boss is so fixated on Abbacchio’s abilities?

Remember when Mista was complaining about 4 pieces of cake and Abbacchio took one? That 2nd one was completely David Pro’s works and I praise their decisions, except for one, in making all these small additions to make Part 5 that much more enjoyable. If this episode lets you know one thing, it’s that we’re officially at the part where anyone can potentially die now.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 27: Split Second

Well, they could give Risotto Nero so much.

David Productions have had the good sense to add anime-original content with the benefit of having the hindsight to add after the original manga experience. The Hitman Squad that dominated the first half of Part 5 were definitely the highlights of the part and I’m glad they were given significantly more screentime given that the part’s plot eventually has it so that they end up on the same side in opposing the boss. Too bad no one was alive at that point for that to matter.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 25: Another Plane Down

I’ll admit, I completely forgot how Notorious BIG was beaten with Spice Girl’s ability and I guess that’s why I forgot, it wasn’t all that exciting. I also definitely thought the Boss was about to kill the cleaning lady too.

I am looking forward to one thing though, Risotto Nero is about to get his time to shine, as well as the Boss making his move. The difference is that the anime has given Risotto so much more screentime and presence than the manga so I imagine they want to do something with him a bit more than what the manga gave him.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 24: Big Poppa

You just know if the Jojo crew get on a plane that it’s going to be trouble. Confined space fights for the absolute win, but I can tell you right now that train fights will always be better than airplanes.

If I remember correctly, Part 5 is going to share the same episode count as Part 4 so we’ve got 15 episodes left, with around two fights to go that’s not including this one before we reach the rather lengthy end-game. Oh, and I guess we can’t forget the Rolling Stones epilogue either so we’re not in shortage of episodes to cover all of that.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 23: Playing Chicken

Every episode and I realize how close we are to the ending. There’s only two more fights to really cover before we get our lengthy final battle which can basically be summarized as two fights to begin with. Actually, no, there’s Nero we need to see too.

Every fight with Mista involves him getting shot with his own bullets while Narancia’s enemies seem to always find a creative use for blood. Then again, Ghihaccio did that too. Anyways, despite me loving the Clash’s abilities, I never did find myself liking this fight all too much, even if this fight is something I have better memory of compared to Oasis and Green Day coming up later.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 22: Clash at Venezia

Did they seriously fucking use Tsuda’s voice for Tiziano? This freaking clown? Just when I was thinking how much I would love to hear Tsuda’s voice again after his work with Bruford years back, now I get this?

I’m actually really upset by that. If you remember what I spoke earlier about the latter half of Part 5, I didn’t have too have many good things to say and while the combination of powers is pretty interesting with Clash and Talking Head, I don’t think too many fights really match the intensity of either Grateful Dead/Beach Boy and White Album.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 21: So that’s what it does

King Crimson is without a doubt the single-most infamous Stand in Jojo’s history that has elicited more “how does this work” questions in its readers more than anything else, be it joke or legitimate. The black and white panels of the manga didn’t necessarily provide the most comprehensible visuals to explain its powers but I feel that David Pro’s visuals have made it a lot easier to understand now.

But from hence forth, we’re now starting the second half of Part 5, and I’m smelling a new opening for next week.
