Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 39- Goodbye Morioh

And that’s all folks.

And Merry Christmas

Whereas the final Volume of Part 4 (Volume 47) was halved to feature the next Jojo, the way that DP handled the ending to the series really hammered down the feel of the homely town of Morioh. While a few visual hiccups, just a handful, were present, I think the music and the line delivery were at their very best and I can confidently say that the adaptation wasn’t a disappointment. Congratulations David Productions, you’re going 4 for 4.

Will most likely do an overall recap on my thoughts of the adaptation sometime soon.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 33- Cheap Paper Tricks

As suspected, it seems that we’ll be continuing through the Cheap Trick arc for one more episode. Coupled with that, it seems that we’ll be moving straight along Hayato’s little mini-arc, that directly leads us to the final arc, in the back. This episode once again showcased extremely noticeable dips in quality such as Rohan flailing around to get Cheap Trick off of him and Terunosuke’s attempts to ward off Josuke after Yuuya frees the latter. Here’s hoping for the final arcs to look decent, especially my favorite panel spread in the entire part.

I’ll be sure to keep my hopes mediated though.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 32- Build Up for the End

Hoo boy, the production values really suffered in the episode’s first half. Thankfully, the second half isn’t all that bad and the quality dip only covered the end of Superfly so it could have been way worse. With Superfly over with, I’ll give two more episode to wrap up Engima and Cheap Trick, unless they can really get through Cheap Trick that fast. Either way, things are shaping up for the finale. I sincerely pray they have enough resources to make it look great.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 31- Twenty Four

Something unexpected that I praise DavidPro for trying to pull off. Last time, I mentioned how we only had a few fights and episodes left and I didn’t expect them to combine not two but THREE fights involving Supefly, Enigma, and Cheap Trick taking place all at the same time. I’m pretty surprised and I completely approve since I’d rather we hurry with these things and get to the finale, even if the implications of it looking lackluster is pretty high. Hope for the best, expect the worst I guess

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 15- The Story of the Pomp

It don’t matter.

I don’t care if I have one more series review to do, I’m a week late but I’m also a week late in talking about this new opening. I can’t tell you hype I got when I first saw it. The music is completely different from what we’ve previously got with other Jojo openings. Anyway, an in-depth breakdown will take place after I talk about this episode.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 3: The Nijimura Brothers

Move aside Kuwabara, the yankee highschool best friend character is finally animated.

I’m actually surprised at how much “plot” they’re trying to get across before we fully dive into the slice of life aspect of the series. I was hoping to see more Keicho and Bad Company but I guess that’ll get its fully episode next week. News also reach me that the series will have 13 Bluray volumes with 3 episodes each, meaning 39 episodes. I don’t think the entire series will be able to fit in that frame, not unless another “season” is added to it but at the rate of which we’re going, I guess I can sort of see it.

Anyway, let’s just enjoy Okuyasu

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 1-2: Fridays are Great Again

I’m a week late but the opening is finally here this week, Jojo Fridays are back and now features the most happy sounding song for the series.

Unlike Part 3, I was looking forward to Part 4’s animation for quite some time and I can’t tell you how happy I was to see it come to light. While I had a handful of fights I looked forward to in Part 3, Part 4 and onwards have entire lists with fantastic fights and with Episode 2 already done, it only gets better from here.

But what I need to feel to clarify for anime-only viewers is the nature of Jojo’s progression now. Part 4 is considered a “Slice of Life” section of Jojo now and the new opening completely reflects its somewhat everyday-occurrence style pattern of meeting other people in town.
