Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis Episode 3- Necromancer Judgment

Yet another adventure-filled episode of Bahamut where Kaiser of all people gains a companion.

I’m really enjoying this so far and I would have never expected stuff like this from a series based on a card game. I’ve said that fact a few times now but I can’t stress the fact on how much my non-existent expectations were blown away. Things can only go higher in my opinion and I hope Bahamut delivers.

Anyways, onto the episode with some spooky happenings right in the Halloween season.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 16- Magic Stand Bus

Well I guess I have to wait a week before the famous scene comes up.

I don’t particularly remember Steely Dan’s fight being long enough to be a two-parter but the episode has convinced me otherwise. Looks like they really did need two episodes to get it done. I believe around 3-4 Tarot Stand users are left before we arrive at Egypt a little over a month’s time since there is definitely going to be two-parter fights again before we get to Egypt.

With that said, let’s cover the rather short episode of Steely Dan and the Lovers.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 14- Spooky skull thing in the sky, totally not suspicious

Love how Jotaro, the guy who usually is the one who identify the Stand user before anyone else, brings to attention some skull forming in the sky but no one does anything. You think with all the shit they went through that they would take that as a sign of warning. Oh well, it’s Jojo, and it’s Part 3 so I can forgive it.

We’re actually nearing another funny fight after the Justice fight and after a few more, we’ll be at Egypt. Also before we start, allow me to give my thoughts on the first episode of the dub since I was unable to get to Episode 2-3

  1. Jotaro is supposed to sound like a teenager who legitimately wants to be left alone and if anything has the indifferent tone. In the english dub, he sounds a bit more angsty since his pitch got moved up a bit.
  2. Avdol legitimately sounds African in my ears so that’s a good thing. English dubbed animes sometime attempt to imitate the accents depending on the character’s backgrounds and Avdol’s isn’t that bad. However, Avdol’s gratuitous english isn’t as charming when he’s speaking English.
  3. Joseph’s voice actor got the aged thing pretty good but he sounds a bit younger than he has to. That’s nitpicky but in my opinion it’s pretty decent.
  4. Holly is just Holly, whether she does a good job or not, she won’t be showing up for a while. That being said, Dub VA’s have a hard time voicing little girls so 40+ year old woman probably wasn’t the hardest thing to do.

DIO didn’t get enough lines for me judge and Kakyoin won’t be judged just yet. From what I hear, the ORA ORA is weak, but that’s not surprising. I will await to see how Emerald Splash and DIO will sound like (not that anyone can beat Koyasu but I honestly respect Partrick Seitz)

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 12- CHUMIMIIIIIIN

Was in California this weekend, sorry for the delay.

Not as exciting or emotional as the fight beforehand but Joseph still shows that he still has the mindset. I mean, for a guy who delayed death being dealt from an immortal being could probably deal with something like the Empress on his arm. Unfortunately, his Stand is still not suited for hard-combat so we won’t see too much Joseph exclusive episodes for a while.

That being said, next week’s fight isn’t so amazing either. However, it still has a very memorable line so I guess I’ll look foward to that. Also, good news for me and other Jojo fans as David Productions has announced today that Part 3 will be airing all year long as 4 cours and will cover every fight. It’s official so nothing for me to fear anymore.

Let’s get on with this though, we’ll talk about the good stuff when we get to it.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 4- Another Plane Crashed

Joseph got called Dandy

The bizarre adventure finally starts and we get a glimpse of what’s to come. Recent Bluray news basically confirm a 24-26 episode run but with the pace we’re going at, I doubt we will get there. If anything, they might as well make a 12 episode seperate series when they finally arrive in Egypt. I said finally because a quick plane ride to Egypt ain’t happening folks. We’ve got a “Defeat the Vampire in 50 Days” journey going on that’ll make Jules Verne himself pose.

Did I mention it was slow-paced? It’s a good thing I suppose. They haven’t cut too many things out but they might have to.

Let’s get to it, fellow Crusaders

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 3- LET’S GO!

Going exactly as I feared, this episode was an explanatory episode than a fighting one. That being said, this is Jojo, where explanations themselves are outrageous and stylistically silly. With the explanation episode now out of the way, nothing is stopping the hypetrain from plowing through the chapters and beating up enemy Stand users for the next 20+ weeks.

The ending (song) definitely caught A LOT of people off guard. When you stop to think about it though, it was sad of us as a fanbase to not consider this as an option. The only problem I see with it is that Roundabout set up so much atmosphere with its opening chords but this song might have to be altered or changed if we get to the more dramatic/suspenseful parts of Part 3.

Enough talking though, I got more things to post for you guys so let’s get straight into it

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Episode 2- EMERALD SPLASH

I will be absolutely frank with all of you.

The hype train for Part 3’s opening was essentially in orbit by the time it aired. Unfortunately, previous hype and expectations set by Bloody Stream made it near impossible it for this opening to have any sort of chance. Not saying that the opening was bad in any case, but I think BS had itself a stylish and groovy tune that set it apart from other openings. This however sounds very common and regular in terms of “Jojo” standards. You know, with Jotaro’s dad being a parody of a jazz musician, I would have expected something jazzy but I guess not.

Not to say my expectations were completely killed, it’s still a balling opening but the only weakness I see that could fix this would be it’s chorus. The visuals and quite literally everything other than the chorus was amazing. Since this is a 2 cour series from what I’m hearing, I think it’s safe to say we’ll get another version of this or a completely new song at the halfway point.

Oh well, I’ll get used to the song and hype over it eventually but let’s get to it
