Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 4: Technically the story could have ended here

Well I almost called it with how they were going to show off Buccellati’s crew but they only lasted a couple second in stills.

Anyway, I’m just happy Polpo is done and dealt with and now we can get onto the real meat of the story. There a bit too many far-away blank faces that I’m not particularly fond of but with animation of this quality, I can’t complain yet because Black Sabbath is hardly a demanding fight to begin with. The sequencing of the final scene was a bit different but nothing to complain about. It would be an understatement to say that I’m really excited for next week for the beginning of Soft Machine.

Anyways, yeah, I’ve forgotten how Requiem stands work but I wonder why that arrow pierce didn’t affect Giorno at all.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure- Vento Aureo Episode 1: Welcome back to Italy

At long last, Vento Aureo is here.

Truth be told, I caught the camera-recording of the first episode way back in July but now that I got to see the first episode, I’m excited to finally talk about it. And no, I will not call it Golden Wind because Vento Aureo is at least more sensible than Diamond is not Crash. Because this recap is already long, I’ll just share my quick sentiments right now, which only want to address the seiyuu changes from the game. Now, this already happened to Stardust Crusaders and DiU (of which the only person I really wanted to remain as they were was Josuke) but I’m not sure if I wanted Sugiyama and Akabane out as Bruno and Mista, hell I think the entirety of Part 5’s VAs were fantastic in the games which includes Abbachio, Narancia, and Fugo. Fugo’s VA in particular is someone I’m partial for so I’m sad he’s out. Narancia’s voice was pitch fucking perfect in the games so I’m a bit sad to see him go. I’ll hope for the best since I haven’t exactly been let down. Also, pink on Giorno is nowhere near as great as blue.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 23- Jotaro and the Unbreakable Bomb

Sheer Heart Attack Part 1 begins, even if the actual thing appeared last week.

I’m so happy that we’re getting so many consecutive weeks of Kira, and to think there’s even more to come is downright awesome. I personally can’t wait for the next episode where Kira once again shows his obsessive tendencies that adds so much to why he’s an enjoyable villain. Anyway, I’m late so let’s get on with it.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 20- Fairy Tale

One more week til we shift gears properly to match chase.

In many ways, I can see why they would move this episode ahead of Kira’s formal introduction. There was only one “arc” that separated Kira’s introduction to his actual encounter with the main crew so having this little love-story in between didn’t keep the tension up. It’s honestly a change for the better since it’s another week I won’t have to wait to get to Sheer Heart Attack. It also helps to have Shigechi’s character sink in so there’s that.

Anyway, let’s get to Cinderella.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 17- The time has come

Our villain has finally arrived, and he’s as strange looking as he did in his first appearance.

There’s not much else to talk about, this ain’t even really an arc, it’s just THE set-up episode to fully brings us into the second half of Part 4. But let’s dive into what makes Part 4 great since with Kira’s very short introduction, we’ll get a lot more focused plot featuring him and the unity of the citizens of Morioh when his treachery strikes close to home.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 15- The Story of the Pomp

It don’t matter.

I don’t care if I have one more series review to do, I’m a week late but I’m also a week late in talking about this new opening. I can’t tell you hype I got when I first saw it. The music is completely different from what we’ve previously got with other Jojo openings. Anyway, an in-depth breakdown will take place after I talk about this episode.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4- Diamond is Unbreakable Episode 14- Improvements

We’re finally introduced to Kishibe Rohan, a rather important character and the technical 4th (0r 5th if you don’t Jotaro) man of the regular crew in Part 4. He definitely seems like a villain now but I can definitely vouch for the genuine “humanity” in him to do what he loves, he just happens to be eccentric about it.

I will say that I absolutely love this rendition of Rohan’s voice over Kamiya Hiroshi’s voice work from All-Star battle and other media. I just can’t put my finger on it, he sounds way too young.
