The bizarre adventure finally starts and we get a glimpse of what’s to come. Recent Bluray news basically confirm a 24-26 episode run but with the pace we’re going at, I doubt we will get there. If anything, they might as well make a 12 episode seperate series when they finally arrive in Egypt. I said finally because a quick plane ride to Egypt ain’t happening folks. We’ve got a “Defeat the Vampire in 50 Days” journey going on that’ll make Jules Verne himself pose.
Did I mention it was slow-paced? It’s a good thing I suppose. They haven’t cut too many things out but they might have to.
Let’s get to it, fellow Crusaders

I mentioned before that I really didn’t need to go over a recap/filler episode so I consider this to be the real start of the Date A Live for this season.
What can I say, Date A Live has my enormously biased opinion because I worship the artist Tsunako and her character designs. Its story isn’t anything new but just for the pure reason of liking the way everybody looks is the reason I love it. While it’s a shallow reason, the series has grown on me immensely during the time I had fawning over its art.
So the first season left off pretty nicely at the end of Volume 4 and now we return to Volume 5.
Looking back at this post now, I amaze myself how I can drag out such a simple series with my typing.

Going exactly as I feared, this episode was an explanatory episode than a fighting one. That being said, this is Jojo, where explanations themselves are outrageous and stylistically silly. With the explanation episode now out of the way, nothing is stopping the hypetrain from plowing through the chapters and beating up enemy Stand users for the next 20+ weeks.
The ending (song) definitely caught A LOT of people off guard. When you stop to think about it though, it was sad of us as a fanbase to not consider this as an option. The only problem I see with it is that Roundabout set up so much atmosphere with its opening chords but this song might have to be altered or changed if we get to the more dramatic/suspenseful parts of Part 3.
Enough talking though, I got more things to post for you guys so let’s get straight into it

I will be absolutely frank with all of you.
The hype train for Part 3’s opening was essentially in orbit by the time it aired. Unfortunately, previous hype and expectations set by Bloody Stream made it near impossible it for this opening to have any sort of chance. Not saying that the opening was bad in any case, but I think BS had itself a stylish and groovy tune that set it apart from other openings. This however sounds very common and regular in terms of “Jojo” standards. You know, with Jotaro’s dad being a parody of a jazz musician, I would have expected something jazzy but I guess not.
Not to say my expectations were completely killed, it’s still a balling opening but the only weakness I see that could fix this would be it’s chorus. The visuals and quite literally everything other than the chorus was amazing. Since this is a 2 cour series from what I’m hearing, I think it’s safe to say we’ll get another version of this or a completely new song at the halfway point.
Oh well, I’ll get used to the song and hype over it eventually but let’s get to it

I’m telling you, no other week seemed THIS lengthy. The week wasn’t really filled with too many things to do but by god, I cannot imagine a busy week while waiting for new episodes. As you can tell, I’m unfortunately going to suffer from this mental drawback of waiting every week for new episodes but…damn.
Enough talk though, let’s finally begin the most iconic saga in the entirety of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

“Didn’t you once say that everything should have a name? Stone Free…I want to free myself from this Stone Ocean!”
A while ago I posted my Favorite Jojo characters that excluded Parts 7-8 since I wanted to keep it everything within the more well-known universe. I mentioned that it had been a long time since I read Part 6 and exempted some characters from the list. I have since reread Part 6 and now I feel like an idiot for admitting that I forgot stuff from Part 6 when this particular saga happens to be the most eventful. So for that blunder I made, I think owe Part 6 an apology and its own post to honor it. Fate may have played into this but the 7th of December happens to be its release date so happy 10th birthday to you Stone Ocean.
So were he go folks, a “review” that is a decade late, let’s talk about the sixth saga of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
