White Album 2 (Anime) Mini-Review

Well wasn’t this just tough.

Understand that this is a mini review for a reason. The story is a drama and is plot-character based so I can’t give away too many things. Yes I did cover it but for this series, I decided to go for the non-spoiler route as it definitely is something one has to watch on their own to like it (or not, depending on how you sway)

I never actually watched, or rather, finished the first White Album anime but my brother’s love for the first game basically gave me enough background info on it. The main difference other than some missing plot points are that the main character makes a final choice in either staying faithful to his girlfriend Yuki or ending his relationship with Yuki and making a new one with Rina. The anime didn’t feature any of those endings. Why am I telling you this? Well, in the first White Album I was horribly biased in favor of Rina. The entire drama would have been probably better if I actually liked Yuki but in the end, it was basically Rina’s rigged game.

White Album 2 from what I’ve heard did a pretty solid job adapting what occured in its Introductory Chapter into the 13 episode format. This feat not being shared by a lot of Visual novel/eroge adaptations. The only one that I can remember off the top of my head being Mashiro Iro Symphony.

Fall Anime Week 11

Noucome has ended so that will get its own post in a few days, seperate from the Fanservice Review Post that will include some other series. Speaking of IS, I’m not including the episode in here and if everything adheres to the 12 episode rule, I’ll be writing up the series reviews once the week rolls by.

In case of other posts, I really hope to get Galaxy Angel done but it’s Finals Week before the big break. If you hung around this site for anytime, folks coming over really does hinder work so don’t expect too much from the 17th to the early days of January. I will be working on them but won’t have that many oppertunities.

So far the series reviews to be done are

• Machine Doll
• Magi
• WA2
• Noucome
• Fanservice (Freezing, IS, Yusibu)

That is of course, if the first three series named are going to end up with 12-13 episodes.

But for now here we go.

Fall Anime Week 10

Here we go, actually got this done before it was too late.

I have finals next week and my brother comes back so expect some late posts for the remainder of December as I try to squeeze in a few posts whenver I can. I’ve noticed views going up so I’m having a bit more energy to write. Noucome, Hentai Ouji, and surprisingly a gametalk I did a while back have been able to garner some views. Not much to add to that but I do have Galaxy Angel which I want to get to so expect that.

Hopefully I can think of something to deliver before the week’s end so cheers. Here’s episode 10.

Fall Anime Week 8-9

Decided to tag along Weeks 9 just because I don’t want to copy and paste what I wrote here to a seperate post.

Fall is an alright season but I’m have yet to fall for a certain series. Machine Doll and Noucome are basically what makes my week and White Album 2 gives me something serious to look foward to. Knowing what will happen in Magi and seeing it zip past is…sort of good I guess you could say. Magnostadt itself was decent but I just hated its extremely rushed and bloated outcome. I’m interested in what the future brings in its current arc but enough of Magi.

I’m actuallying watching Blazblue again, who woulda thought. While it may not get covered, I will give my thoughts on it at the end of the season. Same thing for Freezing applies now.

Fall Anime Week 5-7

YuSibu will be watched for bunnysuit Airi, Log Horizon is a bit too light hearted than I’m comfortable with, me not watching the first season of Little Busters makes Refrain essentially mean nothing to me without Yuiko, and Blazblue is just going all over the place. Might watch for girls it just shamelessly puts on for the fanservice. I’m weeding out the series I’m not enjoying too much. Fanservice series will still be “covered” in a sense but don’t expect regular sort of recaps.

As apologies for being 3 weeks late, I decided to tack in last week’s episodes so I’m technically caught up. This week isn’t that busy so I’ll be able to work on other stuff I have in mind. Thanks for the patience and here you go, Weeks 5-7

Fall Anime Week 3-4

Since this is pretty late, you can expect Weeks 5-6 and to bundled as well.

Yusibu is wearing down at me because its brand of comedy just dosen’t entertain me. It has been relegated to “just for that one girl” series. Log Horizon just has too much sidetracking for me to feel immersed. Plus, all urgency is non-existent since death ain’t a big problem. YuSibu and Log Horizon  will not be “covered” per say but I will continue to watch them although they are bordering the drop list.

Fall Season 1-2 Episode Recaps

I think I’ll seperate a large number of these series into seperate posts but I’m focusing on getting these out for now so here we are.

Oh boy where to begin this season. Light personally told me that he doesn’t have too much to look foward to. Considering how he reads light novels a lot, it makes sense since he knows everything that will happen in the LN adaptations present in this season.

But here we go, prepare for an extremely long list of series. Realize this is tentative and I might drop any of these in any occasion if it starts annoying me rather than entertain me.
