So annoyingly enough my PS4 died again so all my recorded footage and screenshots are gone for the 3-4 games i planned on talking about so my motivation has already tanked. Still have my save datas intact so i can probably manage to get a few again but man, bummer
The dojo houses the optional superboss that deals ridiculous damage and has a rocking theme to boot. Watching my brother’s jaw drop over unlociking new Master fights is something i’ll ever forget.
We’ll be moving right over to the sequel, an intro sequence that’s already getting me to feel a certain type of way.
I legitimately forget if I ever talked about a Kyoani show around here.
There was some buzz going around before Phantom World released at how Kyoani decided to adapt a light novel series like Phantom World. Kyoani hasn’t really touched the harem genre like this in my memory and I guess it was a big deal considering at how Kyoani seems to have its own large gathering of studio-loyal fans. As for me, I haven’t liked how Kyoani made their characters look since Haruhi and I had no idea about Phantom World as a light novel at all so I honestly went in completely blind other than the pretense that Kyoani bothered to adapt a harem not too many people have heard about.
I’m sure everyone saw some reactions and shots from the first episode with the whole limbo thing but did it ever go beyond that? Apparently it does, but in the actual source material.
ScWe’re reaching the end of the season and you know what that means, Series Reviews. If you were around last seasons, I revamped the process into something a bit more presentable so I’m actually looking forward to talking about them. As much as I would love to sink my teeth into tearing apart Bahamut, that ends next week.
With that in mind, Bahamut’s episode this week will be skipped in lieu of the rest of the series reviews that are going to be worked on instead of the weekly recaps. See you guys then.
Stuff is getting decent, I guess. It’s literally just Bahamut that isn’t completely annoying me right now but that should be a given. Hell it’s doing so bad right now that I barely need to take any screencaps of it.
But hey, something I was looking forward to finally happened and it was an absolute blast to watch.
The week was busy and I contracted some illness near the end of it but I still managed to get this out. Lack of pictures obviously means lack of interest in some sense of the word but even Bahamut got a few recently mostly because some half-decent fanservice shots where the plot wasn’t relevant. The plot driven ones were definitely the better ones, as usual.
And at this point, I’m just padding this introductory portion out since the image I used for this week is pretty tall and one of the few things worth screencapping from Bahamut.
Prepare the endtimes as we’ve crossed the 3/4 threshold for most series this week. Obviously the ones that revolve around an actual plot thankfully got some things set up for the finale but the others not too much. Whether or not that’s a good thing actually only applies to one series out of the 3 that don’t exactly follow plot-progression standards but it’s a unique case since it’s an indepth adaption of a novel while the other is another LN and the other is a comedy series.
So it felt like the series I actually care about had to get a buffer episode in before shit really hit the fan. That being said the rest of the stuff I was watching haven’t done anything all that exciting. It would be preferable to have the last arc be set up for but then again, we’re only a week past the half-way point for a lot of these so I guess I should cut some slack since all the set ups “should” be happening now and/or they got one more arc to flesh out before that happens.
