Koutetsujou no Kabaneri- A less worse Guilty Crown

The ride hasn’t stopped but we’re at our stop for now.

Kabaneri initially started off as something I overlooked as the season began and as the end of the first week drew to a close, I happened to watch it on a whim, only to be impressed by the visuals, music, and practically everything else that set everything up quite nicely. After a few weeks, it became apparent that I wasn’t the only person feeling this way about our “Shingeki no Kyojin” with zombies. In the end, I think a better comparison can be made to the studio’s previous work with Guily Crown. Compared to highschool kids fighting against an established government, I think fighting against super-zombies with steam powered weaponry ontop of trains is a way more interesting premise which ultimately leads to a more enjoyable experience.

But did it turn out decently in the end for our original studio work that grabbed everyone’s attentions for the season? Let’s find out

Spring Anime 2016 Week 12

I’ll keep things short than normal/short as per usual since there’s nothing all that new at this point than what has already been said multiple times for the past few weeks.

Make way for the Series Reviews after this, which will be my main goal in trying to get done in the next few days.

Spring Anime 2016 Week 11

Really behind on this one and for a few series, I think their finales are coming along this week. We’ll see how those end up and I’ll get the series reviews up and running appropriately. But things are all shaping up toward a resemblance of a finale, as they all should. I’m still wondering what series are going to be 12 episodes or 13 though.

Spring Anime 2016 Week 10

Only now do I realize how spaced apart these series reviews are going to be in the next 2-5 weeks. Hundred is going to be slightly annoying since I honestly didn’t really watch too much of it to really give it a “critical” look at it like I did with the previous harems going on. I don’t even think it’s me being critical but just having a chip on my shoulder for it.

I dread to think that I might have to watch it again to actually have a legitimate opinion. Oh well, let’s continue.

Spring Anime 2016 Week 9

Another week passes by where we cross the 3/4th line of the season. Honestly though, I’m not exactly all that excited for the Summer season since Summer in particular is rarely ever good. It’s around this time I feel the secondary arcs end and they set up for the final arcs so I hope to see some exciting stuff for next week since rushed endings more often than not ruin most series.

Spring Anime 2016 Week 8

Late but still going through at top speed.

The good stuff get better while the boring stuff remain trite, nothing new going around here and not like I expect the boring stuff to suddenly become great all of a sudden. I also find it pretty annoying at how all the stuff I’m watching doesn’t seem to add up all that much with the “Week of [Insert Number here]” stuff I’m doing thanks to a load of stuff happening this season.

Either way, I’d hate to be behind so let’s get going.

Spring Anime 2016 Week 7

Now we have most series hitting the half-way point of the season and I find myself legitimately liking what I’m watching with the sole exception of the two harem series (of course) but even then, there’s something to be gained from watching something you don’t particularly like I feel.

But it was an enjoyable week nonetheless, even those harems series had something going for them this time around. I’ll doubt it will last but it is what it is.
