Oh boy this was actually entertaining to watch. And it wasn’t because it was actually good.
So it’s official, the opening fight was probably the best piece of action we got. I’m going to save my complaints til the end since I have a bad habit of just telling you what I feel at start of this stuff. That’s right, actual reviews! Who would of thought?
Even more foolish things are afoot with Jio Edgemaster Inzagi out of the picture. Something about more experimentation with cursed seal spirits and the green hair elf-lady being involved with Velsaria.
A set up episode to transition to the final episode.
I’m honestly not surprised that they did this, something like Dandy to end probably needs a bit of set up like how Bebop and Champloo needed 2 episodes for its finale. Of course, Dandy is nowhere near as “story based” as the two (while all three are episodic anyway) but let’s just say I saw it coming.
That being said, it isn’t the regular two parter either, this episode solely gives more insight on why Dandy is so pursued after and things pick up at the final moments of the episode.
So for the final episode, let’s get through with this.
Like I mentioned, I get busier as the week ends but thankfully enough this week is somewhat free of the problems that plagued me the last few weeks. That being said, it was fortunate of me to experience the transitioning weeks now. From a little more exposure to the previews the Fall schedule for me looks like
Chaika
Fate
Amagi Brilliant Park
Grisaia
Twintails
I honestly found Grisaia to be a bit more overrated than the amount of hype its getting and even with that, VN adaptations tend to be complete nightmares. Brilliant Park and Twintails are just there for my seasonal dose of stupid shit.
Space Dandy has already ended since they aired the final episode a bit sooner in Japan. That gets a series review very soon. On the other side, Blade Dance is just Blade Dance while I have no idea how many episodes SAO is going to drag out for. I still pray for an entertaining final fight.
Anyways, Music time. Take the theme that was redone in Super Smash Melee as this the “Mother 2” song that played in the Onett Stage. Home Sweet Home indeed.
So it’s obvious there are two Death Guns now and I assume this one is different or I’m just mistaking the voice. I have no idea if this is going go past 13+ episodes and get into the other arc. If that were the case, I’d guess I would see the other arc’s art instead of exclusively GGO stuff.
The only thing I have enjoyed so far from is the opening. Especially the fight but it looks like we only get a fight in the desert instead of in the cityscapes.
With only 2-3 episodes to go, I can only imagine how rush things will become.
While anime-only endings rarely happen from the shows I’ve at least seen, they’re probably going to go through with yet another arc during the titular Blade Dance event going on at the end. I haven’t read the light novels (nor do I feel like I should) so I wouldn’t know on how grand a scale on how they can try and cram it all in.
The title from last week amplified. With all this explanation and dread about Death Gun, they better make that fight worth it.
The opening shows so much action yet but we barely get any for the past 2 weeks. I know that development is good but damn, maybe I somewhat enjoyed this when all this series was about was simple fighting.
Either way, no surprises on my end because I was spoiled a while back.
