Catchin Fire

Killer Queen

So other than getting the three episodic posts out, I’ve picked up:

  1. Downloading another eroge
  2. Following the Twitch Plays Pokemon craze

What eroge did I download? A trippy Lewis Carroll-esque bugger called Hapymaher, I’ll explain if I ever need to but Google it up and you’ll see why I went for it (Hint: blonds). Anyway, I need a break from Fallout New Vegas and Dark Souls II looms around the corner. Galaxy Angel is still a point of interest but at this point, discontinued for a while as I build up my love for the series again. League is once again the only actual game I’m playing.

But Twitch’s pokemon game that has been going on for 2 weeks is something I take great joy in. Even though we rarely get things done. I hope to tell you people all about it but I wasn’t fully aware of its hilarity until last week. Go on and check it out, go worship a Helix Fossil.

Moving on:

This week’s song is probably one of the really uncommon ones. I was playing the game with my brother who pointed out the song in the Gallery mode was really relaxing. He insisted that I leave it on as the controllers recharged while we lounged around. Here’s the Gallery theme which is also called Why Don’t You Come Into My Room? Fitting as the Gallery menu narrator is none other than Emporio Alnino.

Space Dandy Episode 8: Dandy and Me

Another “decent” episode this week.

But first, props to [adultswim] for airing Viva Namida. Now I wish for the ending to show up.

While a dog being hinted at the title of the episode gives away that the episode will contain of a lot of potential sentimentality, it really depends who you’re asking. Don’t get me wrong here, the “feels” were felt right here in my chest but in all honesty, it could have been delivered a lot better. Then there’s the second half of the episode…

Allow me to explain myself.

Nisekoi Episode 7: Totsuka Saika is a real girl

Chalk up one more member into the growing love comedy harem.

Okay so I really did end up catching up to the manga and I’ll just say there isn’t really anything “big” that happens thus far. It would be unwise for the author to focus on just one girl since that would kill sales and alienate a bunch of fans that root for their favorite character. I don’t want make myself seem like some analysists but if anything, I’ll just say pull a Ichigo 100 if one person has to win it.

Anyways, let’s just talk about that new member shall we?

Mahou Sensou Episode 7- No Crying, Only Dreams Now

Returning from the pathetic action episode, Episode 7 returns us to the formula of background love triangle with some measly action sprinked on the side. Am I surprised by this? Not one bit but we’re through the halfway point and I feel no impact or lasting impression at this point in time.

While we got semblance of a promising grudge match between a highly disturbed pair of brothers, instead we just get Takeshi and series of horrific wet dreams.

I wish I was partially wrong

Music of the Week #125

Caught up!

ba8

So switching to a episodic review style got me doing things a bit quicker. No longer do I have to wait til Sunday or the latest day of the week to post everything up. You already know how I feel about the 3 series I’m covering now. Space Dandy and Nisekoi are supplementing me until the Spring season while Mahou Sensou is there for me to laugh about it.

Not much else to say folks, other than I’m getting back into more games and once March 11 hits, it’s Dark Souls II. If I really want to, I also might buy Blazblue Chronophantasma on the 25th as well.

Anyways, we honestly finished the good Jojo themes and once we cover the next 5 from the non-character themes, we are done with Jojo for now. So to start that off, we have the Map Select Theme, the funker version of the Character Select.

Space Dandy Episode 7: S-Zero Grand Dandy

The most “wat” worthy episode ending so far in the year and season.

I enjoy race episodes due to the following, obvious reasons of: Acceptably fast-paced, action packed scenes, and more characters to bite the dust. I did get all of those crossed off the list but….something about this episode.

Anyways, let’s dive into it and see what I saw was a fault.

Nisekoi Episode 6: You thought Onodera was the one didn’t you?

Like I had surmised before, I really did end up reading ahead in the manga. Lo and behold, what few chapters I read with little development just became this week’s episode. But here I am speaking of little developments in a love-comedy manga/anime.

We can forget that I said that. Note that I didn’t read that far, but I do know one other girl comes to mess up the already complicated love plan between Onodera and Chitoge. So other than that, let’s go over exactly what kind of small things I was talking about Continue reading Nisekoi Episode 6: You thought Onodera was the one didn’t you?
