Fairy Tail Review: Day Break Arc

Day Break Arc

Episodes: Infiltrate! The Everlue Mansion! , DEAR KABY

Synopsis:

Lucy and Natsu have officially formed a team at the beginning of the episode and they go on their first official mission together. The mission is to retrieve a book(DAYBREAK) from the corrupted politician, Duke Everlue. This mission seems relatively easy, not only because they have to steal a book but because Everlue is a pervert looking for a maid (Hence why Natsu formed a team with Lucy). But this mission (which was worth 200,000 jewels) has become more important to the client that he bumped it up to 2,000,000 jewels (sooo~ Natsu and Happy were pretty excited). Lucy on the other hand asks why he would raise the price but the client (Name: Kaby Melon <– Lucy recognizes his name from somewhere) says that he cannot allow the book to exist any longer and will allow them to destroy it (Natsu and Happy were overjoyed with that as well). Before any other explaining can be done, Natsu and Happy drag Lucy off to the Mansion where, after a failing mission by another guild a week ago, the security has tightened. When they arrive Lucy goes to the front door posing (in her maid outfit) as a maid looking for hire. When Everlue (along with his  ‘beautiful’ maids ) show up, instead of falling for Lucy’s self-proclaimed ‘charm’ he calls her ugly and tells her to go away. This deems her ‘useless’ in Natsu and Happy’s eyes. They change plan unknowing that Everlue saw Lucy’s Fairytail mark and that he and his body guards are preparing for them. Not long after that,  Natsu, Happy, and Lucy (who is looking for revenge) break into his house and ‘try’ to steal the book (Natsu wanted to beat people up but Lucy somehow managed to convince him to just steal the book quietly like a ninja)

but no mater what Everlue’s maids found them and Natsu paid the price. When they finally find the book Duke Everlue appears *in a creepy way* along with his body guards who are from an assassination guild. Lucy runs with the book *trying to read it since its by her fav author* and Everlue stalks chases her. Once Natsu beats the body guards Virgo shows up and he beats her up as well( so Natsu got his way). Once Everlue catches up with Lucy he summons Virgo and Natsu (who was standing on her) shows up as well (he did the impossible and went through the celestial world and came back into the human) freaking both Everlue and Lucy out. When all is said and done (Basically Everlue is a self-loving bastard who locked up a author (Zekua Melon)for years forcing him to write a book about him, * it was a bad book T. T*  and Everlue fails, Happy takes his key *without anyone knowing*, and they go to meet the client. When they meet with the client the secret is revealed. The author of DAYBREAK was the clients father who, after being freed, cut off his arm and later died. Lucy found this out as well as the secret of the book. The books name is actually DEAR KABY and is written to his son. After that it was a nice little ending… OR WAS IT!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? Turns out the client was actually poor, and Natsu (since he didn’t actually complete the mission) didn’t accept the reward, making Lucy annoyed. On there way back to the guild they meet up with Gray, who basically was hiding. When Natsu asks why he was there? Gray said: Erza is returning which makes even Natsu freak out with fear. Then they have what leads onto the next arc, being attacked by some members of a dark guild, defeating them, and the word “lullaby” is mentioned.

Arc ends with Erza appearing in Magnolia with a Monster’s  horn (like 10x the size of her) and a huge cart of luggage ( maybe 7x larger than her)

*onto the review*

This might be the way i do the arc reviews for Fairy Tail. A bunch of words, a pic or two in between, and a lot of pics at the bottom to show you what happens in the arc. This arc was funny to me. It made me happy when Everlue sent out virgo, but when i realized that she was the maid… i was pretty offended >.> . The next arc is the Lullaby arc and with it a lot of ass kicking Erza. Now that i figured out how i’m gonna do the arcs it shouldn’t take me so long (unless pokemon gets to addicting or school gets to annoying)  Bye!

Fairy Tail Episode 2 Review

Episode 2!!!!!!!

Episode 2: The Fire Dragon, the Monkey, and the Ox

Ok so this episode starts off the same as the First one. Intro to Fiore and the same theme song… TO THE EPISODE!!!

After a recap the episode starts off at the Magic Council, Era. The council are angry at Fairy Tail for their destruction ( the mages of Fairy Tail do A LOT of damage) when two young council members and an old one vogue for them saying they like them. Then it goes back to Natsu Lucy and Happy in front of the Fairy Tail building. Natsu and Happy then kick down the door ( well just Natsu) and yell that they are back. After Natsu kicks the member who gave him the false info about Igneel the whole guild gets into a fight. Then some guy in his underpants shouts that Natsu is back and he spooks Lucy. His name is Gray Fullbuster, Natsu’s rival and he has a extreme habit of taking off his clothes.When he shouts that he wants to fight Natsu a girl at the bar tells him he is only in his underwear, which he is shocked. The Girl who reminded him is Cana:

Cana is the biggest drinker in Fairy Tail and she is 18.(in Fiore you can start drinking at 15)

Then a tall man called Elfman comes in shouting that they are all a bunch of babies. Despite what he says Natsu and Gray knock him out in one hit.

Then Lucy meets Loki who is one of the most eligible wizards. After getting hit in the head he abandons his “girlfriends” and joins the fight.

Lucy then crosses him off her list of eligible wizards because of how weird he is. Lucy is then getting discouraged about this Guild until she meets:

MIRAJANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mira is Fairy tail’s cover girl and the nicest person there! But don’t get her mad cause she got some serious S-class powers with her, but until you see that she currently is an employee at Fairy Tail. When she tells Lucy not to worry about the fight since they are always like this, her brother (Elfman, Mira is older) comes in and crashes into her. She just smiles and says its fun before she passes out. Lucy then is bumped into by a NAKED Gray since Natsu stole his underwear. When he realizes it he freaks Lucy out but just asks her for her underwear

She then grabs a stick or something knocking him away. k so the fight goes on… Loki tries to romance Lucy for 2 seconds before Elfman punches him shouting that men talk with there fist! Natsu kicks Elfman and everyone is about to go even farther with the destruction. About to fight with magic and Lucy uses Happy as a shield. Then a giant comes in and yells at them to stop it! Yes I said a giant.

Result:

they stop. Mirajane then welcomes him home. Turns out that the giant isn’t just the Guild Master, but a little old man who uses magic to become a giant. When Natsu yells out that he wasn’t scared by the master… Natsu just got stepped on. When he sees Lucy she freaks out but he just turns into:

he really is TINY! He starts to lecture the Guild about their destruction habits but this bein Fairy Tail and all the burns all of the Magic Councils paper work they sent him and feeds it to Natsu. Later Lucy gets stamped with the Fairy Tail mark and goes up to Natsu at the Request board to show him… but he doesn’t seem to care and calls her Luigi.

Natsu and Happy almost grab a job when a little boy named Romeo comes in complaining the the Guild Master, Makarov, that his dad hasn’t come back from his job in a week when it should have taken him 3 days. The two get into a fight because Romeo wants someone to look for him and Makarov says he should have faith in his father since he is a waizard. Romeo gets upset, punches Makarov in his face and runs out of the Guild. Natsu saw that scene and while Mira and Lucy are talking he punches the request back into the request board. Natsu and Happy then leave the Guild to save Romeo’s dad, Macao. BACK STORY TIME!!

Natsu and Romeo are very alike. Natsu’s Foster father Igneel, the dragon, Disappeared when he was young. Reason is unknown but Natsu knows how Romeo feels and is going to help him.

Later it shows Natsu and Happy in a carriage going to where Macao’s mission was, asking Lucy why she followed them. Natsu is semi- passed out on the bench *remember he can’t handle transportation* and Lucy stating that there was so much to pity him for… which Natsu gets mad at not knowing what it means. When the carriage stopped Natsu is revived and the driver states that they can’t go any further. When the carriage stops they step out into a snowy mountain and when Lucy turns around the driver already left. When Lucy complains about the cold Natsu states that’s what she gets for wearing such thin clothes… but he isn’t much better. Since Lucy is cold she remembers her gate keys and calls out her silver key:

Horologium

Natsu and Happy are amazed. Next thing ya know Lucy is in there with a blanket with the clock repeating everything she says since his glass is sound proof. When Natsu explains what mission Macao was on *fighting Vulcans* she immediately wanted to go home. Receiving no sympathy from Natsu or Happy they keep going. When they are searching for Macao and Vulcan (big monkey thing) appears and tries to attack them.

Instead of keeping up there fight the Vulcan immediately runs to Lucy and Horologium and runs off with the two. The Vulcan takes her to his cave. As the perverted monkey thing he is, he waits for the clock to disappear, which Horologium does when it gets close to him. Natsu then comes running in yelling at the Vulcan asking where is Macao when he slips on the ice and fails… FAIL. When the Vulcan “answers” by pointing Natsu runs to the opening in the cave, which results in another FAIL when the Vulcan pushes him out. Lucy then gets mad at the Vulcan and whips out one of her gold keys, resulting into her calling out:

Tauras. the pervy golden bull

now since both the money and the bull are both pervy over Lucy… PERV FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but of course… NATSU comes in kicking Taurus without knowing he was on their side. Now if you are wondering how Natsu survived the fall… well one reason is that he is a title character (sometimes they die sometimes they don’t but they never do on the SECOND episode) and second is that he has HAPPY!!! THE FLYING CAT!!! . Now remember Happy is not TRANSPORTATION so Natsu can handle that… if you ask that Nastu will say the same thing he said to Lucy, “Happy is my partner, your mean.” k so the Vulcan attacks… Natsu makes a nice little speech… and he kicks some butt. Saying that “everyone in Fairy Tail are his allies and thats why he is bringing Macao back home.” So the battle officially starts, and the Vulcan grabs Taurus’s hammer since Taurus is still there and hasn’t disappeared yet. Anyway they keep fighting and it ends like this:

With the Vulcan knocked out Lucy was wondering about Macao when… the Vulcan transforms and turns out it was actually Macao. Apparently the Vulcan did a Take Over on Macao and took over his body. Take over is a magic that allows you to take over someone’s body. Macao has got some serious injuries so to help him out Natus burns them so the wounds would close. (but since that wasn’t shown in the anime i just gave you a manga moment ) . The show turns back to Romeo giving the story of why Macao took the job. After the short back story Romeo hears Natsu and when he looks up there is Macao being supported by Natsu with Lucy near by.

Romeo is so happy he tackles/hugz Macao to where Macao falls to the ground. Romeo thanks Natsu, Happy, and Lucy after apologizing to his dad. Then ENDING SONG!!!!!!!!! *i forgot this on my last review sorry XD *

SORRY THIS WAS SO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!! i was lazy and busy at the same time so i really am sorry! but i loved this episode cause of the crazyness . I went a little over board with pictures but this was the episode where they introduce everyone so i felt the need to show who they are. I’m happy i finally got this done but since i am such a big Fairy tail freak i am gonna be posting ARC REVIEWS from now with the exception of filler episodes. so my next Fairy tail post will be the Daybreak arc. byez! 

Fairy Tail Episode 1 Review

This is one of my favorites

Episode One: Fairy Tail

The world where this series takes place has mages and monsters and a lot of other twists and turns. To truly be called a mage you must sign up in a magical guild where you will receive work and pay. These guilds are like family and ruling over these guilds is the Magic Council. The Magic Council is composed of some of the strongest mages and they try to keep order in the Kingdom of Fiore. But there are other Guilds who aren’t guided but the council. These are called Dark guilds. But that will be explained later .

In the port town of Hargeon is where the story starts. At a train station an attendant is asking a pink haired boy (who is on the floor) if he is ok. All of a sudden the boy’s cat tells the boy, Natsu, that they have arrived. When the attendant asks if he is ok again and the cat responds with an “Aye!” saying he always gets like this on transportation.

Natsu says that he can’t handle it and that he will never take a train again. The cat then says that if their information should be correct the person the are looking for, Salamander, should be in this town. After the train whistles and the cat turns around the train has taken off again with Natsu still on bored following with him screaming,”SAVE ME!!!”. Leaving the cat to say the obvious, “It departed”.  Else where in that town a blonde girl is shocked that there is only 1 magic store in town. After the store manager explains that most people in the town aren’t mages and that they only focus on traveling mages. The manager tries to get the girl to buy something when she sees a gate key that she has been looking for. The man states that its not very powerful but, the girl was still looking for it. When she asks the manager how much it is he says 20,000 jewels. Result:

To get a discount off she tries to “persuade” the manager with her looks. Which later leads to her ranting outside about only getting a 1,000 jewel discount. She did get the key but she was really pissed about it until she hears some girls screaming and going gaga over a “Salamander”. Which leads to the girl stating that he was a famous wizard who can use a fire magic that you can’t buy in stores. Then it goes back to Natsu. Stating that he ended up riding the train again, resulting to the cat stating the obvious (again). Natsu complains that he is hungry but the cat says that they have no money. Natsu the referrers the the cat as Happy, asking him if this “Salamander” was Igneel. Happy then says that he doubts that there is another Fire Drangon but Igneel. Then they hear the crowd going crazy for a “Salamander”, which they happily run to after hearing the name. But…

This “Salamander” isn’t Igneel. Every girl is going crazy for him and the girl is wondering why considering all of a sudden she herself is feeling “in love”.

Wouldn’t YOU wonder why if you where like that?

As the girl is getting more and more captivated and more and more closer to him Natsu shouts IGNEEL! and makes his way through the crowd. When he comes in the charm on the girl is broken. Everyone goes silent and Natsu, with a i don’t care look on his face, says,”Who the heck are you T.T”. Leading “Salamander” to step back in surprise. He regains his composer and says his name hoping it would ring a bell. Natsu just walks away without caring. Leading to the attack of fan-girls saying that Natsu was rude. When “Salamander” says that he will forgive him and offers Natsu an autograph, the Girl just stares at “Salamander” with a knowing and angry look on her face. Natsu turns down the autograph leading to a repeat of the fangirl attack. “Salamander” then invites all of his fans to come to his party on his boat that night and leaves on his fire “red carpet”. The girl then comes up to Natsu saying that that man was a scumbag and thanking Natsu for breaking the charm. At a restaurant The girl introduces herself as Lucy, while Natsu and Happy gorge them selves with the food Lucy bought for them. Lucy goes on to say that that man “Salamander” was using a banned charm spell to make people attracted to you, and then calling “Salamander” a creepy jerk. Lucy then states that she is a mage as well and explains the guilds. Saying that she hasn’t joined a guild yet but will join one of the famous and popular ones.

Getting her all excited and curious on how she will join this amazing guild with strong wizards. Happy then states that she talks alot. Ignoring Happy’s comment she asks about who Natsu was looking for. While explaining it turns out that Igneel is not a human but a Dragon. Lucy of course freaks . She screams that a dragon wouldn’t be in a town which then causes Natsu and Happy to actually realize she is right:

When Lucy leaves and gives Natsu and Happy money to pay, when she turns around Natsu and Happy are bowing to her and thanking her. Causing Lucy to be embarrassed and yelling at them to quit it. Later Lucy is reading a magazine when “Salamander” comes by to invite her to his party.She refuses but he then persuades her to go by saying he is from Fairy Tail and that if she goes to the party that he will help her get in. Being apart of the Fairy Tail Guild is what she had always wanted and agrees to come. When “Salamander” leaves she realizes that his charm had worked on her… AGAIN. Later at night Natsu and Happy are hanging out when some girls come by gossiping about “Salamander” from Fairy Tail who is having a party on the boat. Hearing Fairy Tail Natsu looks to the boat… then he feels like he is going to hurl. On the boat, “Salamander” then starts to compliment Lucy and he wants to start with a toast. He uses his magic to get pearls of the drink and tries to lead the pearls into Lucy’s mouth. Leaving Lucy thinking: ANNOYING!

She then realizes that the drink has magic in it called Sleep.

Can YOU guess what it does XD .

“Salamander” then states that she is a handful and all of a sudden men appear behind the curtains carrying the party guests. He then states that Lucy is merchandise now and that they are heading to Bosco. Lucy whips out her keys but “Salamander” uses his magic to knock them from her hands. He states that they are gate keys and that Lucy is a Celestial wizard. Since the spirits in the keys hold a contract with there holders he throws them out the window. Lucy is shocked that THIS is a Fairy Tail wizard and that they are horrible… Then Natsu crashes through the boat from nowhere, he immediately gets sick, Lucy replies: LAME! Happy then comes in with WINGS (explain later ^_^’, but it is his magic) and carries Lucy off. Since Happy can only carry one… guess where Natsu is! Then Happy’s transformation runs out, and Lucy and Happy hit the water. She swims to find her keys while Happy hits a rock. When Lucy finds her keys she summons:

AQUARIUS! Happy goes crazy because he sees her as a fish. Lucy explains her magic when Aquarius warns her that if she drops her key again she will kill her.Despite her attitude toward Lucy, she does what Lucy asks and sweeps the boat up in water sending it crashing to land, sweeping Lucy and Happy away too. When everyone is on land and Lucy asks why she swept her as well Aquarius states that she had failed. Since she had gotten the ship as well. Aquarius then leaves saying not to call her for a while since she is going on a vacation with her boyfriend. The ship is wrecked and Lucy calls to Natsu while he is looking down with a serious look. When Natsu says that “Salamander” isn’t a Fairy Tail wizard “Salamander” ignores it and sicks his crew on him. Natsu takes off his jacket while saying that “Salamander” should remember his face. Happy then eases (more like surprises) Lucy by saying that Natsu is actually a wizard. Natsu then knocks some of “Salamander’s” goons down and states:

I AM NATSU OF FAIRY TAIL!

So epic (note the symbol that is the guilds symbol that is shown alot)

He surprises both Lucy and “Salamander” and then it is revealed (by his nervous goon) that “Salamander” was actually Bora the Prominence, who was thrown out of his guild. Natsu then states that he doesn’t care whether Bora was good or bad but he wasn’t about to get away for pretending to be from Fairy Tail. Which starts the Battle. Bora then shoots his fire at Natsu, but it doesn’t work since Natsu appears ok, WHILE EATING THE FALMES! Then one of Bora’s nervous men states that he recognizes Natsu as the REAL Fairy Tail Salamander. Bora and Natsu then go at it attacking each other and destroying the town. During this it is also revealed that Natsu uses a ancient and rare magic called Dragon Slayer. It transforms your body parts into those of a dragon and was once used to slay dragons. Ironically it was taught TO Natsu by a dragon. Anyway the battle finishes like this:

Bora pwned badly yay!

After the overboard battle the military comes in and scares Natsu off. AND he grabs Lucy while running. When she screams why Natsu just yells that she said she wanted to join Fairy Tail. This makes Lucy happy and the episode ends like this:

That’s the start to the series. Fairy Tail is super funny even on the serious parts. It basically for everyone but the romance people. It has some but its mostly one sided . This series is pretty long though (still going even in the manga). So after the 2nd episode i might just do it by arcs (or else i’m up to my neck in 53+ episodes). Fairy Tail is very interesting the way things are. Considering that the little events are somehow apart of the main problem, and they aren’t exactly focusing on it 24/7.  The only thing that i didn’t like was Happy’s voice… Its a guy cat but his voice is sooo high :/ (Makes me wonder how the rest of the flying cats sound like).  One of my favorite things is that Plue from Rave Master is in here to! but he a dog not a bug ( Plue is the white thing in the theme song with the pointed nose)
