Summer Anime Week 8

Summer Anime Week 8

Ebiten got dropped, but as if you cared.

So basically, nothing changed because I usually had nothing to say about a comedy series that only made me laugh like once or twice.

Got 2 gametalks in progress, 1 needs pictures and one needs….everything.

Music of the Week #48

School work is already taking its toll

Well, as long as I get the weekly recap done before another one is scheduled for, I still ain’t behind. I just have 2 more summaries and a bunch of pics to get down and it will be there for you. Not much to tell guys, this is the busiest year I got. Refer back to other music posts because that serves as weekly news regarding my situation and what other posts to come.

This week, we continue with One Piece’s 5th opening, Kokoro no Chizu (goddamn, nostalgia all over the place). It’s probably one of my favorite One Piece music EVER, plus the arc was nearing Enies Lobby/Water 7 which is prolly one of the better arcs One Piece has. Here you go

COME ON, WHO DIDN’T CRY OR FINALLY AWKNOWLEDGE USSOP A MAN WHEN HE FOUGHT LUFFY?

Summer Anime Week 7

Let’s get right to it.

School is starting soon and I got other stuff that needs my attention. Posts, schoolwork, more posts, meh.

A bit more pictures than usual cause episodes this week were “decent”. Binbougami Ga jus got a lot funnier, Nobuna enters a new arc, Arcana finally gets entertaining, read all about it if you want. Noubna got more pics than usual because of the obligatory new arc meaning new characters. Whatever, enjoy.

My brother has finally left and I have a few days left until school starts.

Pictures are the only things that are left for the weekly roundup, one of the gametalks is ready to go, and a classic is being written up. The school year is starting once again and I will have to try my absolute best this year. Enough about me, I need to get back to writing up posts that I couldn’t get to because of my brother.

In terms of this week’s music, it’s One Piece again and other than the 1st opening, I personally did not hear any other korean dub openings. The korean dub as I remember it got as far as the Rainbase Arc (Crocodile) and it basically repeated from the start from there. It was quite the downer but eh. Here’s the 3rd opening from One Piece. To be honest, the english one of the 3rd opening ain’t terrible compared to the first one.

Nostalgia hits me hard each time I go to youtube to find these opening themes…

Mini-Gametalk 2: In Defense of Mists of Pandaria

Mini-Gametalk 2: In Defense of Mists of Pandaria

After being semi-enraged at the idiotic fanbase League of Legends happens to spawn out of its murky ELO Hell (not really, I’m pretty much hooked on to the game), I published a small piece a long time ago telling any and all who listened the origins of the DotA styled games.

Now I feel like I must clarify yet another point in the PC gaming world, this time revolving around the recently released cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

Due to my brother’s presence around the computer 24/7, I haven’t had a chance to finish the Weekly anime multi-post. I summed up SAO and 3 others remain

Not much to say here other than I need to get to work on both classwork and non-review write ups for this site. Not many posts other than Gametalks for me to do because I haven’t had some inspiration in a while. I have no idea what to do, and because I’m a lazy bastard, I’m going to wait until something happens that will inspire me to write something.

In terms of music, it’s time to cover the music of one of the Big Three series still ongoing at the moment (and with the end not even in sight). Let us celebrate its longevity and it’s first release in the Weekly Shounen Jump back in August 1997, ONE PIECE’S FIRST OPENING

As energetic and pumped up the first opening does, the one that I grew up was the Korean version, which was actually REALLY good in my opinion. Of course, anything is better than the American dub’s rap…

Here’s the Korean version, which brings back a HUUGE amounts of good memories

Note: Although they censor out Sanji’s smoke, in the actual episodes they don’t replace the “changed” parts.

Ah, I called this series childish back in the day, but when I finally saw it, I was hooked from the start. Here’s to you One Piece, stride onwards.
